From A for Applied Theatre to Z for Zither - more than 2,000 highly talented students from 70 countries devote themselves to the arts, their mediation and their exploration at the Mozarteum University together with 550 teachers.

    Awarding of ensemble scholarship 

    The presentation concert of the scholarship holders of the newly created ensemble scholarship A (one-year) Start Up for Ensemble(s) took place in the impressive ambience of Schloss Leopoldskron at the beginning of April. In cooperation with "The International Society of Mozarteum University Salzburg", over 44.000 euros will be made available to students or graduates of the Mozarteum University Salzburg.

    On the sensual telling of stories 

    Florentine Klepper has been Professor of Music Drama (scenic) at the Department of Opera & Music Theatre since the summer semester 2024. In the interview, she provides insights into her working methods, previous and ongoing projects and shares her thoughts on the various facets of music theatre.

    In memoriam Sir Ian Stoutzker 

    The British businessman, musician and philanthropist Sir Ian Stoutzker made a lifelong commitment to young musicians out of a deep conviction that music is an important factor in everyone's life. He died on 6 April 2024 at the age of 95.

    Showcase: Exhibition by students of Art Education
    Due to the cancellation of a campaign in which showcases were to be displayed in various cities in Austria, this exhibition now serves to present the artists' ideas retrospectively. Visitors are invited to view the variously designed shop windows.

    That Karl Kraus should be considered untranslatable is a judgement that has been circulated with persistent regularity for at least fifty years. The symposium planned for Kraus' 150th birthday proposes to raise the question of a new view of Kraus in the light of translation.
