Vivi Vassileva represents a new generation of percussionists and showcases percussion as an instrument of the 21st century. She takes the audience to the very frontiers of the world of percussion, which she explores and pushes back with incredible passion, brilliant technique, virtuosity and athletic performance. Singer-songwriter/band competition organised by Austria’s nine universities and colleges of music: While Europe’s attention is focused on the Eurovision Song Contest, Austria’s universities and colleges of music are turning their attention to the up-and-coming artists who will shape the music of tomorrow: On 15 May 2026, the campus of the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna will become the stage for the most promising up-and-coming acts on the Austrian popular music scene. Representing the Mozarteum University will be Daniel Wisiol and the Mozquitos.

In 2026, 21 ensembles (comprising a total of over 50 students) applied for the Mozarteum University Ensemble Grant – A (one-year) Start-up for Ensemble(s). In cooperation with The International Society of Mozarteum University, €30,000 is being made available to students and graduates of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
