This winter semester, directing students at the Thomas Bernhard Institute are working together with acting students from three different years and in cooperation with scenography students to develop productions based on an examination of theatre texts from antiquity.

When Salzburg resounds with the spirit of genius loci in February, the Mozarteum University once again invites you to the International Mozart Competition. Now in its 70th year, this renowned competition brings together outstanding young musicians from all over the world and this year, 24 violinists from 17 countries and 25 pianists from 15 countries will compete at the highest international level.

Prizes for an outstanding Master's thesis 2023/24 have been awarded to Tim Anselm Gebel, Carlos Goikoetxea Cancho and Andreas Johannes Neubacher - congratulations!

The start-up grants awarded by the Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport (BMWKMS) recognise and support the work of professional artists at the beginning of their careers. They are intended to enable work on new projects, promote artistic development and facilitate entry into the Austrian and international arts scene.
