The only voice teacher Cecilia Bartoli has ever had is her mother, the soprano Silvana Bartoli Bazzoni. From 3 to 8 August 2026, the Mozarteum International Summer Academy will once again offer young professionals a unique opportunity to work personally with Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli.

Tracing the topicality of content and music: Under the leadership of the Forum Salzburger Volkskultur, a project was started to record the textual and musical variants of Silent Night! Holy Night!, which is jointly supervised by Wolfgang Dreier-Andres for the Salzburger Volksliedwerk and Thomas Hochradner of the Mozarteum University for the Silent Night Society.

The Leopold Mozart Institute offers professional preparation for music studies with the Pre-College and the Highly Gifted Support and also includes academic support: within the framework of the Pre-College, particularly talented young musicians receive intensive pre-university training.

The Hengqin International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians 2026 (Piano) will take place between 30 October and 10 November this year. Registrations are open until 31 May 2026.

To kick off the 2022/23 summer semester, the Mozarteum University is launching a new corporate design. The development process was accompanied by the two renowned digital agencies Dept (concept) and Pixelart (development).

Peter Schreiner, Senior Lecturer for Photography & New Media at the Department of Fine Arts and Design, will be awarded the Annual Scholarship for Photography in 2023. The scholarship is awarded annually by the province of Salzburg and has been endowed with Euro 12,000 since 2023.

Parklets to linger, for people and bees: On June 28, two parklets were opened in the city of Salzburg, one of which is TO BEE, a project by students at the Department of Fine Arts & Design (Design: Technik.Textil).

Application until 7 May: The competition was launched by the Mozarteum University in 2015 and is aimed at young musicians under the age of 23. It focuses on their virtuosity, their understanding and their interpretation of classical music. The orchestra of the competition is the Salzburg Chamber Soloists.

The Moz-Art-Zone is the University Mozarteum's outreach program for children and young people, offering a broad spectrum of events in all areas of art - excitingly conceived programs are designed to inspire and excite in the long term, but also to promote exchange between students and young artists.
