The only voice teacher Cecilia Bartoli has ever had is her mother, the soprano Silvana Bartoli Bazzoni. From 3 to 8 August 2026, the Mozarteum International Summer Academy will once again offer young professionals a unique opportunity to work personally with Silvana  Bazzoni Bartoli.

Voice Masterclass with Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli
3rd - 8th August 2026

As part of the Mozarteum International Summer Academy

Registration:
after the Whitsun bank holiday - details to follow

The masterclass is designed for professional singers of all voice types and focuses on the fundamental principles of vocal technique as the foundation for a long-term and sustainable singing career. To participate, applicants must demonstrate a high level of artistic proficiency, at least equivalent to that of graduate students. Registration will open after the Whitsun weekend.

As a very young singer, Silvana Bartoli Bazzoni made her debut as Puccini's Manon Lescaut at the Spoleto Festival and went on to partner legendary singers such as Tito Gobbi, Giuseppe Taddei and Tito Schipa in roles such as Nedda, Nannetta, Norina and Liù at various Italian and European theatres. While raising her three children, she began teaching in Rome. Subsequently, Luciano Berio invited her to set up a course in vocal technique at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, which she ran for many years together with Renata Scotto (interpretation). Silvana Bartoli Bazzoni's singing technique is based on the famous Italian method of Melocchi.

In this masterclass she teaches the principles of a sound vocal technique, the basis for a long singing career - the focus is primarily on detailed work on technique.
