    The guitar department of the Mozarteum University is starting spring 2024 with an extensive programme: students in the classes of Andrea De Vitis and Laura Young have the unique opportunity to showcase their talent at concerts in Italy, which are made possible as part of an Erasmus collaboration with the renowned Boccherini Conservatory in Lucca (Tuscany).

    The Sir Ian Stoutzer Prize, endowed with 20,000 euros, is awarded annually to students from artistic instrumental and vocal classes at the Mozarteum University. The sponsor of the highly endowed award is the British businessman and philanthropist Sir Ian Stoutzker.

    Academy Orchestra concert as part of the Mozart Week 2024 
    With the overture from Axur, re d'Ormus by Antonio Salieri, followed by Joseph Haydn's Sinfonia concertante in B flat major Hob I: 105 and the Prague Symphony in D major K. 504 by Wolfgang A. Mozart, Maestro Ion Marin and the Academy Orchestra of the Mozarteum University will also perform at the Mozart Week in 2024. The orchestra made its debut during Mozart Week 2023.

    Hanna Binder is an actress, performance artist and musician who is at home on stage and in film. Since 1st of September, she has been bringing her passion for bodywork and authentic stage presence to the Mozarteum in Salzburg as a university professor. With a wealth of experience in theatre, film and dance, Binder now dedicates herself to promoting young talent, always with a focus on the physical expressiveness and humanity that makes theatre so special.

The ceremony on Friday will focus on the possibilities opened up by inter- and transdisciplinary approaches in artistic, pedagogical and scientific contexts.
