"Idyll" is the title of a short film by Fanny Rösch, a student at the Munich University of Film and Television, made in 2022 as part of Spot On MozART in co-production with the Mozarteum University. For his montage of "Idyll," Sebastian Husak was recently awarded the Young Editors Prize at the 33rd German Camera Awards.

How can Mozarteum University become a “living room for Salzburg”? The Sustainability Challenge invites master's and advanced bachelor's students from all fields of study to apply for interdisciplinary courses on sustainability with a focus on the Sustainable Development Goals, to gain practical experience and ECTS. They work with companies, ministries or NGOs on concrete sustainability projects from the field, while the theoretical input is provided by lecturers from the seven participating universities.

Great success for the Mozarteum University: The FWF (Austrian Science Fund) is funding the project ‘Aesthetic judgement in community’ by Iris Laner with 485,430 euros. The individual project is dedicated to the role of the community in art education theory, school practice and education policy and is being carried out in collaboration with partners from the universities in Cologne, Siegen, London and Pretoria.

On June 23, the touch-down event of the Sustainability Challenge took place at WU Vienna, where Mozarteum students Eva-Maria Sallinger and Lena-Maria Schuster presented their annual project. The Sustainability Challenge recently won the international "SDG Education Programme of the Year".

Under the title "Staging Realities" Mozarteum University invites media artists and artist collectives to apply for a funded residency to create an interactive, multi-user XR performance in the newly built X-Reality-Lab. The question of how the new comes into the world is a fascinating and equally complex one. The second panel discussion of the Salzburg University Development Impulses in cooperation with the Knowledge Transfer Centre West attempted to shed light on the creative processes that precede the emergence of the new with experts from various disciplines and fields.

The commissioning of a "European Symphony" marks the start of a wide-ranging research project that combines digital technology and classical music in a new way: Musicians in 12 different locations will use innovative technology to overcome physical distances and perform a joint concert for symphony orchestra and large chorus.
