In autumn 2024, bass-baritone Lisandro Abadie, actress Hanna Binder, conductor Christiane Büttig, visual artist Annette Fauvel, guitarists Giuseppe Feola and Bozhana Pavlova, cultural and media scientist Paul Feigelfeld, composer Laure M. Hiendl, pianist Lei Meng, soprano Allison Oakes and violist German Tcakulov will take up their positions as university professors at the Mozarteum University. To kick off the 2022/23 summer semester, the Mozarteum University is launching a new corporate design. The centerpiece is a "monumental" typography and a university website that is intended to inspire as well as inform as a digital communication port. The development process was accompanied by the two renowned digital agencies Dept (concept) and Pixelart (development).

On February 3, 2021, the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and the Mozarteum University in Salzburg launched a unique program: a series of master classes to deepen the study of Baroque music, beginning in the summer of 2021.

On 15 March 2023, the first event in a series of events organised by Salzburg's universities in cooperation with the Wissenstransferzentrum West (Knowledge Transfer Centre West) was dedicated to a hot topic: the impact of artificial intelligence on our everyday lives. The explosive nature of the topic and the fact that the discussion has arrived in the university context and in our society was demonstrated by the full Small Studio at the Mozarteum University.

On 9 November, musicians from the Department of Wind and Percussion Instruments at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, together with the Chamber Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Krakow, gave a concert at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music (ECMKP) in Lusławice, Poland, which was enthusiastically received.

Nikita Buldyrski, actor and graduate of the Thomas Bernhard Institute, is honoured with the prestigious Alfred Kerr Actor Award. The prize is awarded annually for an outstanding performance by a young actor in one of the ten productions at the Berlin Theatre Meeting. It is endowed with 5,000 euros in prize money and is awarded by the Alfred Kerr Foundation with the support of the Berliner Festspiele.

At the Institute for Open Arts, unusual methods and different ways of thinking can open up innovations and new dimensions in art and academic scholarship. The Institute is home to the PhD programme in Artistic Research, and further study programmes and offers are currently being developed.

Anna Barbara Kastelewicz, a graduate of the Department of Musicology at the Mozarteum University, was recently honoured with the Award of Excellence for her dissertation on "Music, culture and cultural activities in the special camps of the Soviet occupying power 1945 - 1950 in the Soviet Occupation Zone and the GDR". Congratulations!
