Through purgatory to paradise – two voices of resistance. Two works – two perspectives on the unimaginable. Even 80 years after the end of the war, they raise big questions about the value of life, the power of art and human resilience. An evening full of intensity, musical beauty and profound humanity.

A variety of projects will explore opportunities for instructional development to provide students with diverse and appropriate learning opportunities, developing and documenting various formats and presenting them at professional and interdisciplinary conferences.

The Tyrolean State Prize for Art, worth €14,000, goes to Johannes Maria Staud, a composer born in Innsbruck and professor of composition at the Mozarteum University. The jury unanimously agreed that Staud is one of Austria's most important contemporary composers. We send our warmest congratulations!

Rachel Katstaller has been studying art education at the [Bildnerische] Innsbruck since 2020 and has been nominated for the Ö1 Graphic of the Year award 2025 – vote now!

The Institute for Gender Equality & Gender Studies oversees the announcement and awarding of prizes for theses and qualification projects, as well as funding for artistic/scientific projects and publications in the fields of gender & queer studies, advanced feminism, and diversity studies. In addition, (co-)financing is offered for guest lectures, workshops, and presentations within courses.
