    Ensemble award to 4th year drama at national competition 
    The 34th Potsdam National Competition of German-speaking Acting Students ended on June 25 with the selection of the prize winners. The "Ensemble Prize Austria" in the amount of 10,000 euros went to the 4th year acting class of the Thomas Bernhard Institute and their production of "Tartuffe".

    From 5th to 18th June, the archive presented an exhibition in the foyer of the Mozarteum University showing how women were responsible for bringing about turning points in the University's history. This was a collaborative project with the Institute for Gender Studies and Equality, the City of Knowledge Salzburg and the Association of Austrian Archivists.

    Cristina Giurgea, alumna of the Master's programme in Applied Theatre at the Mozarteum University’s Thomas Bernhard Institute, has received a €12,000 grant – awarded annually by the State of Salzburg in the field of Performing Arts – to support her work at the intersection of research theatre and performance art in Salzburg.     On April 4 and 5, 2024, the 24th "Music Didactics Austria" conference took place at Frohnburg Castle of the Mozarteum University in cooperation with the Salzburg Education Directorate and the Salzburg University of Teacher Education. After an opening by Vice-Rector Mario Kostal and Daniela Gutschi, State Councillor for Education, a video message from Vice-Rector Matteo Carmignola of the Salzburg University of Teacher Education and a keynote speech by Martina Müller (BMBWF), the conference focused on the future of music education.
