Teaching and learning with AI
The use of AI tools in higher education and research is now a reality. However, the key question is not whether AI is used, but how. AI can support academic work, not replace it – and its use must be transparent, well-considered and accountable.
Readers must be able to understand how this work was produced. They must be able to identify which tools were used and to what extent. They must be able to distinguish between the author’s own contributions and the contributions made by external systems (such as AI).
In addition to its own guide: AI Protocol: Documentation on the Use of AI Tools and Software Tools, the Mozarteum University in Salzburg recommends the Teaching and Learning with AI website of the University of Graz, which is currently one of the best university knowledge repositories in this field:
Teaching and Learning with AI offers a central information and support platform covering the use of text-generating artificial intelligence in study and teaching. The site supports lecturers and students with practical assistance, guidance, resources and guidelines on the responsible use of AI systems – for example, on didactic applications, the labelling of AI use or further learning opportunities. This collection aims to contribute to a transparent and informed reflection on the opportunities and challenges of AI in higher education.
Lecturers and students at the Mozarteum University Salzburg are invited to make use of the information gathered on this website.
