Since 2019, the Research Support of the University Mozarteum offers an annual award for artistic-scientific and scientific research projects. The target group is academically and artistically-scientifically active persons of the University Mozarteum (teachers, researchers, alumnae & alumni, students).

The Staff Council of University Teachers (DA1 / BR1) is responsible for all university professors, university assistants and contract assistants as well as federal and contract teachers at the Mozarteum University who are employed by the federal government under public law.

Im Zuge der Aufarbeitung konnte die über 20.000 Briefe umfassende Korrespondenz erfasst werden. Ferner wurden alle vorhandenen Autographen des Komponisten sowie seine gesamte wissenschaftliche Bibliothek katalogisiert. Darüber hinaus wurden Aufbauarbeiten an einer digitalen Mediendatenbank zur Salzburger Musik gestartet. Im Zuge dieser Arbeiten konnte die systematische Digitalisierung aller relevanten Bestände des Tonbandarchivs vollendet werden. Die aktuellen Aufgaben zielen einerseits auf den physischen Erhalt der Jahrzehnte alten Bestände ab und andererseits auf die Aufarbeitung von rund 40 Regalmetern an bislang nur grob indizierten diversen Restbeständen, die vorrangig Arbeitsmaterial Paumgartners, aber auch vereinzelt Briefe, Kompositionen, Autographe, Notendrucke, Tonträger und Bücher enthalten. Ferner soll der Aufbau der digitalen Mediendatenbank fortgesetzt werden. Werkvertragsnehmerinnen: Anja Arend und Sonja Majkowsky. Projektleitung: Dominik Šedivý.

Independent scientific publications, peer-reviewed conference papers and teaching assignments at renowned institutions: Our students contribute significantly to representing the Mozarteum University in artistic-scientific research and pedagogy in music theory nationally and internationally. And the Winner Is ... the Mozarteum 2022 Research Competition has been decided! This year's award for particularly successful artistic-scientific research proposals goes to Heike Henning for her collaborative project proposal "Rethinking and Innovating Choral Musicking in the Digital Space", which is currently being prepared for submission to the Austrian Science Fund FWF in cooperation with the University of Liechtenstein and the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.

Since the 2016/2017 academic year, the Mozarteum University has been awarding the "Prize for Excellent Master's Theses", which recognizes outstanding theses by graduates who address their chosen topics in an innovative, original, unusual or particularly sustainably relevant way.

With several competitions for instrumental and vocal classes, for research projects and artistically convincing performances from all disciplines, the Mozarteum University offers its students a wide range of opportunities for internal comparison and professional preparation for international competitions.

The University Mozarteum will conclude the three major anniversaries of the Orff Year with an extensive festive weekend from July 2 to 4, 2021. The ceremony on Friday will focus on the possibilities opened up by inter- and transdisciplinary approaches in artistic, pedagogical and scientific contexts.

The Institute for Equality & Gender Studies is dedicated to gender research, but also to the advancement of women in the sense of the Women's Advancement Plan, as well as to the creation of gender-equitable and family-conscious working conditions at the University Mozarteum.
