Singing brings people together – even online. In the ERASMUS+ research project ‘Choir@Home’, the Mozarteum University Salzburg (Prof. Dr. Heike Henning), in collaboration with the University of Liechtenstein (Dr. Janine Hacker) and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (Prof. Dr. Alexander Carôt), investigated how singing together can take place in virtual spaces and be reimagined.

On October 13 and 14, 2022, the largest exhibition to date of the interdisciplinary and interinstitutional project Spot On MozART took place at the Mozarteum University - an exciting journey through 17 projects, including film premieres, interactive spaces, and a piano-playing industrial robot. We accompanied the expo for you.

Competence in sustainability is competence for the future. Artists and educators carry a great responsibility but also have great potential for not only reflecting on social change but also contributing to it. The start of academic year 2025/2026 brings with it the start of a new elective studies block in Art & Sustainability, for which students can obtain a supplementary certificate. It offers the chance to explore the complex relationship between sustainable developments in our university and society at large, and artistic and scholarly practice.

The guitar department of the Mozarteum University is starting spring 2024 with an extensive programme: students in the classes of Andrea De Vitis and Laura Young have the unique opportunity to showcase their talent at concerts in Italy, which are made possible as part of an Erasmus collaboration with the renowned Boccherini Conservatory in Lucca (Tuscany).
