The annual conference of the Austrian Society for Musicology will take place at the Mozarteum University from 17-19 October 2024. It will focus on and discuss music-related phenomena that are related to ideas of democracy and democratic principles.

Once a year, students of visual education are invited to perform in the Great Hall of the Salzburg Künstlerhaus. This close relationship between an art association and students in the experimental phase is unique in Austria - and a challenge for the students.

Artists and educators carry a great responsibility but also have great potential for not only reflecting on social change but also contributing to it. The start of academic year 2025/2026 brings with it the start of a new elective studies block in Art & Sustainability, for which students can obtain a supplementary certificate. It offers the chance to explore the complex relationship between sustainable developments in our university and society at large, and artistic and scholarly practice.

The diverse offerings of the Mozarteum University include publications from the disciplines of music, performing & visual arts, scenography, music & dance education, research, liberal arts, and interdisciplinary.
