Hanna Keßeler
Hanna Keßeler has taught at Mozarteum University Salzburg since 2019, where she specialises in musicians' health, music physiology, performance coaching, somatic methods, and breathing and body awareness for performers. Alongside her university teaching, she is active in professional development for musicians and music educators.
Hanna Keßeler graduated with distinction from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna as a qualified Rhythmics teacher and Music and Movement Pedagogue, specialising in special and remedial education and flute. She is also a qualified movement pedagogue and teacher trainer in the Franklin Method®, a certified music physiologist (Berlin University of the Arts) and a certified teacher trainer in Optimal Üben at the Cologne University of Music and Dance.
Since 2004, she has taught at the Rheinische Musikschule Cologne, and since 2008 at the Cologne University of Music and Dance, where her teaching includes embodiment, dance and movement training, performance coaching and the Franklin Method®. She has also worked extensively in continuing professional development for music schools and professional musicians, focusing on mental coaching, musicians' health and effective practice strategies.
Since November 2019, Keßeler has served on the board of the German Society for Musicians' Medicine and Music Physiology (DGFMM) and has been an active member of the Austrian Society for Music and Medicine since 2009.
