The study aims to better understand the collaboration of music teachers and instrumental / vocal teachers in class musicianship concepts in Austria.

Higher education in Salzburg takes steps toward a sustainable future: On Thursday, 13 November 2025, members of five Salzburg universities and colleges set off on foot from their respective institutions and made their way to the Frohnburg, symbolically taking steps toward sustainable development. Once assembled at their destination, the five delegations formed a heterogeneous group united in a common cause: rectorate members, students, teaching staff, researchers, administrative staff and sustainability officers—around 50 people in all. Members of the Mozarteum University’s sustainability task force walked side by side with lecturers and students from the Institute for Open Arts.

Nikita Buldyrski, actor and graduate of the Thomas Bernhard Institute, is honoured with the prestigious Alfred Kerr Actor Award. The prize is awarded annually for an outstanding performance by a young actor in one of the ten productions at the Berlin Theatre Meeting. It is endowed with 5,000 euros in prize money and is awarded by the Alfred Kerr Foundation with the support of the Berliner Festspiele.

At the Institute for Open Arts, unusual methods and different ways of thinking can open up innovations and new dimensions in art and academic scholarship. The Institute is home to the PhD programme in Artistic Research, and further study programmes and offers are currently being developed.

The Center for Choral Pedagogical Research and Practice (ZECHOF) at the University Mozarteum, Department of Music Education Innsbruck, deals with the large subject area of choral pedagogy in a variety of ways.
