Eugen Maria Schulak

Eugen Maria Schulak taught for many years at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Vienna and is currently a lecturer in philosophy at Mozarteum University Salzburg and Johannes Kepler University Linz. He is the author of twelve books, one of which has been translated into English and four into Chinese.

Schulak studied philosophy, psychology, educational science, and history, completed a teaching qualification for secondary schools, and earned a PhD. During and after his studies, he supported himself as a musician and as a producer of radio and television advertisements.

In 1998, Schulak founded the Institute for Philosophical Counselling in Vienna, a consultancy specialising in philosophical questions. The institute offers seminars, lectures, philosophical cafés, and individual and group consultations focusing on values, ethical issues, and questions of meaning.
