The working focus of Salzburg Music History has set itself the goal of making information on Salzburg's music history easily accessible through overviews and archival materials, and to update this information on an ongoing basis. In addition, there are publications and numerous events such as workshops, symposia and guided tours.

The 3sat Prize of 10,000 euros at the 60th Berlin Theatertreffen goes to stage designer Mirjam Stängl for her stage in the production "Zwiegespräch" directed by Rieke Süßkow at the Burgtheater in Vienna.
