The only voice teacher Cecilia Bartoli has ever had is her mother, the soprano Silvana Bartoli Bazzoni. We are delighted to announce that from 4 to 8 August 2025, professional singers of all voice types will have the unique opportunity to work personally with Silvana Bartoli Bazzoni on ‘fundamental principles of vocal technique - the basis of a long singing life’ in a masterclass as part of the International Summer Academy at Mozarteum University. The University Mozarteum will conclude the three major anniversaries of the Orff Year with an extensive festive weekend from July 2 to 4, 2021. From August 15 to 16, 2026, the 2026 Festival Academy, under the title FRAUEN.FESTSPIEL.PRÄSENZ*, will focus on the visibility, history, and future of female playwrights and composers at the Salzburg Festival. The two-day symposium will place pressing questions about representation, power structures, and the formation of the canon at the center of the debate.

Based on "Bernarda Alba's House," Federico García Lorca's drama that has been performed most frequently around the world to this day, the 4th year Drama and Directing class, under the direction of Anja Herden, will deal in "¡Los Bernarrrdá's!" with being trapped, hysteria, fear of life, and the longing for freedom as a primal human drive, and will tell of people who are both victims and accomplices of their own oppression.
