Mobility for the future On 3rd and 17th December 2025, two workshops took place: ‘Unter dem Pflaster liegt der Strand’ (Under the pavement lies the beach) with Stephanie Müller and Klaus Erika Dietl (Mediendienst, Leistungshölle, Munich) and ‘WALDWERDEN’ (Becoming Forest) with Theresa Schütz (Vienna). Third year students from Bundesgymnasium Seekirchen and Lebenshilfe were invited to creatively explore the topic of urban mobility.News -

Tour of the Department of Fine Arts & Design After a break due to corona, the Department of Fine Arts and Design is finally opening its workshops and studios again: from April 6 to 8, interested parties will have the opportunity to gain insights into the diverse work of young artists and to try their hand at numerous workshops. Artificial intelligence and its impact on our daily activities On 15 March 2023, the first event in a series of events organised by Salzburg's universities in cooperation with the Wissenstransferzentrum West (Knowledge Transfer Centre West) was dedicated to a hot topic: the impact of artificial intelligence on our everyday lives. A Triad of Talent Following a successful masterclass and a sold-out concert with the Bläserphilharmonie Mozarteum Salzburg in March 2025, Christian Thielemann will take up a position as Professor of Orchestral Conducting at the Mozarteum University in October 2026. Violinist Lisa Batiashvili and pianist Claudio Martínez Mehner will also begin teaching in the 2026/27 academic year.News -

Art in the age of digitality Christopher Lindinger is an innovation researcher, computer scientist and cultural manager. He co-founded the Futurelab at Ars Electronica in Linz and was co-director of the Media Lab until he was appointed vice rector at JKU Linz in 2019. On October 1, he took up the first professorship for art and digitality at the Mozarteum University.News
