Meral Guneyman is a versatile classical musician, with numerous releases, who is comfortable in both pop and jazz music, has transcribed many original works and is also an enthusiastic arranger and improviser. Her ability to move between classical and jazz with lightning speed and conviction is a rarity. In 2021, her arrangements of classic David Bowie songs were presented for the first time on ‘Steinway-Spirio’ - a high-resolution self-playing system of the highest quality.

For his artistic-music pedagogical project "voice & piano" Reinhard Blum, lecturer at the Department of Music Education Innsbruck, was nominated together with Christian Kraler (University of Innsbruck) for the shortlist of the Ars Docendi State Award for Excellent Teaching 2019 in the category "Research-related or art-guided teaching".

The Center for Choral Pedagogical Research and Practice (ZECHOF) at the University Mozarteum, Department of Music Education Innsbruck, deals with the large subject area of choral pedagogy in a variety of ways. Projects and events are intended to provide both theoretical and practical insights into this work.

The University Mozarteum will conclude the three major anniversaries of the Orff Year with an extensive festive weekend from July 2 to 4, 2021. The ceremony on Friday will focus on the possibilities opened up by inter- and transdisciplinary approaches in artistic, pedagogical and scientific contexts.

The publication "Auf dem Weg zur Kunstuniversität: das Kunsthochschul-Organisationsgesetz von 1970" ("On the Way to the Art University: the Art University Organization Act of 1970"), which appeared in August, documents for the first time comprehensively the historical course of the development of higher education in Austria's art universities.

Tracing the topicality of content and music: Under the leadership of the Forum Salzburger Volkskultur, a project was started to record the textual and musical variants of Silent Night! Holy Night!, which is jointly supervised by Wolfgang Dreier-Andres for the Salzburger Volksliedwerk and Thomas Hochradner of the Mozarteum University for the Silent Night Society.
