Georg Wacks ⋅Thomas Bernhard Institute Georg Wacks works in a wide variety of disciplines and institutions as a producer, director, actor, singer, speaker, musician, clown, emcee, musicologist, exhibition designer, publisher and author. He has been teaching ‘Clown’ at the Thomas Bernhard Institute of the Mozarteum University since 2021. Contact wacks.entertainment@gmx.at Georg Wacks studied at the École Philippe Gaulier - International School of Theatre in London, the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and at the University of Vienna. He received vocal training from Sebastian Vittucci and was a soloist at the Vienna Volksoper. From 2010-2022 he was artistic director of the historical cabaret programmes at the Theater an der Wien, and since 2020 he has been artistic director of the summer festival ‘Die Hölle am See’ together with Marie Theres-Arnbom. Until 2023, he was artistic director of the ‘Lobkowitzer Ramasuri’ series at the Vienna Theatre Museum. For several years he worked as a lecturer for voice training, breathing and movement, writing and directing, as well as clown at the international theatre school Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris, and since 2023 he has been a lecturer for acting, breathing and movement at the Joseph Haydn Private University of Applied Sciences Eisenstadt. He writes academic books on historical cabaret, conceives and writes historical cabaret programmes, children's plays and music education programmes, among other things.Person -
