Thomas Rietschel

As a cultural consultant, Thomas Rietschel, has been supporting cultural institutions such as foundations, art academies, ensembles and associations in their development since 2016. A scholar of German literature and an empirical cultural scientist, his previous professional career included roles in music management, notably as Secretary General of Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland, Secretary General of the German Music Council, and, for 12 years, President of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main. He has three children, lives in the Tauber Valley south of Würzburg, and is actively involved in a range of voluntary initiatives, including work with an initiative of Holocaust survivors, a cultural centre in Nicaragua and climate protection projects.
