Marco Döttlinger, Austrian composer and sound artist, studied music theory and composition as well as computer music in Salzburg, Paris and Basel with Christian Ofenbauer, Frederic Durieux and Georg Friedrich Haas, among others. He is a member of NAMES - New Art and Music Ensemble Salzburg. The main aspects of his artistic work lie in the integration of computer-based processes in the field of contemporary (sound) art or time-based arts.
His instrumental compositions, computer music, electro-acoustic music and sound installations often address micro-temporal changes on the border between stillness and movement. He has received numerous prizes, grants and awards, including the state grant for composition from the Federal Ministry, the one-year grant for music from the State of Salzburg and the stART grant from the Austrian Federal Ministry. His work is shown at festivals in Germany and abroad.
