Patrik Hofer

Patrik Hofer (b. 1991) has been a member of the Rundfunksinfonieorchester Berlin (RSB) since 2015 and has taught at the Mozarteum University Salzburg since 2022.

He received his first trumpet lessons at the age of 7 at the local music school in Wattens and started as a junior student at the Mozarteum Innsbruck at the age of 16. In 2017, he completed his teaching diploma (classroom music/instrumental music) at the Mozarteum Innsbruck and graduated from the Mozarteum Salzburg in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in trumpet performance. During his studies, he held two academy positions: in the Konzerthausorchester Berlin (2013) and the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker (2013-2015).

In addition to his work as a teacher and with the RSB, Patrik Hofer regularly takes on freelance work as an orchestral play, with orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic, Bavarian State Opera Munich, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Stockholm Radio Orchestra, DSO Berlin, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Saarländischer Rundfunk, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Volksoper Vienna, Staatsoper Berlin, Munich Radio Orchestra, Haydn Orchestra Bolzano/Trento, Tyrolean Symphony Orchestra Innsbruck, Southwest German Philharmonic and Orchestra Constance.

He also performs regularly as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles such as Musicbanda Franui, Pro Brass and the brass section of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

Back home in Tirol, he cultivates his love of folk music, especially with the group ‘Die Inntaler’.
