Guido Marggrander

Guido Marggrander (b.1964 in Karlsruhe) studied musicology and percussion at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe with Hans-Jörg Bayer and Jürgen Heinrich. From 1989 until 1997 he was 1st percussionist Southwest German Radio Symphony Orchestra (now known as the Deutsche Radio-Philharmonie) before moving to the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in 1997. Guido Marggrander taught percussion at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover 2004-2019. He began teaching at the Mozarteum University in 2018 and was appointed as a professor in 2019.
