Within the Mozarteum, the Werkstatt-Akademie addresses students of composition, conducting and interpretation (instrument, voice). Through intensive cooperation with the Austrian Ensemble for New Music (oenm), competences and experiences are brought into the teaching which are not (yet) available in this concentration at the Mozarteum. We expect a strengthening of competences in the field of New Music for the composers, conductors and interpreters studying at the Mozarteum.

A variety of projects will explore opportunities for instructional development to provide students with diverse and appropriate learning opportunities, developing and documenting various formats and presenting them at professional and interdisciplinary conferences.

A tour through eight temporary individual works by MA Applied Theatre students on the theme of theatricality and the theatricalization of places and spaces.

The Applied Theatre project digs for stories hidden in the Rainberg. By overlaying the different uses in different periods of time, contrasts but also commonalities become visible: "Dance until we die" examines how temporary communities function, according to which criteria they are created, which rules they are subject to.

In particular, the project addresses students, young adults, and career changers for whom access to knowledge about artistic professions and study opportunities is difficult due to their social and local conditions.

In this work package, strategies are to be developed on how universities and museums can better know and benefit from each other. The HRSM project "Instrument Collections in Salzburg and Innsbruck" is exemplary. The aim is to develop a concept on how the potential between universities and museums could be better used, to increase knowledge transfer and to implement a contact person for museums at the universities.

Gertrud Fischbacher and her cooperation partner Marius Schebella (FH Salzburg) were awarded with the project "Nexus of Textile and Sound" at the annual funding program of the FWF for the development and opening up of the arts (PEEK)! Artistic-scientific exchange in research and teaching between the two important instrument collections of the Salzburg Museum and the Ferdinandeum Innsbruck with the students and teachers of the MOZ, the PLUS and the PMU. Instruments of national importance are refurbished by specialists / restorers and reconstructed on the basis of CTs from the Division of Neoradiology (PMU).
