Two violins from Wolfgang Amadé Mozart’s personal collection will accompany this year’s Italian tour of the Bella Musica Pre-College Ensemble of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, conducted by Stefan David Hummel. Mozart’s extraordinary childhood violin and his concert violin, both from the collection of the International Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg, will be heard in Rome in September 2026.

With the first edition of the new interdisciplinary ORA Early Music Festival, the Mozarteum University is celebrating a special premiere. Over three days, early music, contemporary musical language and improvisation come together in numerous concerts and sound performances.

The commissioning of a "European Symphony" marks the start of a wide-ranging research project that combines digital technology and classical music in a new way: Musicians in 12 different locations will use innovative technology to overcome physical distances and perform a joint concert for symphony orchestra and large chorus. The Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen (AEC) is a trans-national organisation with the aim of networking music colleges across Europe and jointly maintaining high international standards of education.
