Peter Schreiner, Senior Lecturer for Photography & New Media at the Department of Fine Arts and Design, will be awarded the Annual Scholarship for Photography in 2023. The scholarship is awarded annually by the province of Salzburg and has been endowed with Euro 12,000 since 2023.

Two projects from Mozarteum University Salzburg have been included in the “Atlas of Good Teaching”, a nationwide platform showcasing innovative teaching initiatives at Austrian universities. The Pre-College ensemble project Bella Musica and the university teaching initiative LAUT:SPRECHER demonstrate how artistic excellence, academic reflection and social responsibility can be combined in higher education in the arts. Both projects provide inspiring examples of participatory, future-oriented teaching practice.

The Theodor Körner Fund was established in 1953 by the Vienna Chamber of Labour to mark the 80th birthday of Austria’s then Federal President, Theodor Körner. Since its founding, the Fund has supported outstanding achievements across a wide range of disciplines. The Ö1 Talent Scholarship for Visual Arts, worth €10,000, is provided by Wiener Städtischer Versicherungsverein. The award is intended to support emerging talent among students at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, the University of Art and Design Linz, the Mozarteum University Salzburg and the University of Art and Design Graz.
