Stefanie Prähauser alias Helena Adler In 2020, the author Helena Adler's second novel Die Infantin trägt den Scheitel links was published by Jung und Jung. The book landed at number five on the ORF bestseller list in April 2020; she opened the O-Töne literature festival in 2020 with a reading from the book. In August 2020, the novel was longlisted for the German Book Prize. At the end of August 2022, her third book was published: Fretten, which was nominated for the Austrian Book Prize 2022.News -

Martin Nöbauer wins 2nd prize at the International Beethoven Piano Competition At the 17th International Beethoven Piano Competition, organised by the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw), pianist Martin Nöbauer won the 2nd prize worth a total of 12,000 euros (ex aequo with Jonas Stark) as well as the Klemens Kramert special prize worth 2,000 euros. Salzburg Cultural Fund Prize awarded to Yvonne Wasserloos Yvonne Wasserloos, university professor of musicology, has been awarded the International Grand Prize for Science & Research (worth €12,000) by the Cultural Fund of the City of Salzburg for her outstanding achievements as a researcher, including her work on ‘Music and Power – Dimension and Context’ and her research on the social, political and cultural significance of music – especially in connection with democracy and the culture of remembrance. Ema Krečič wins The Sir Ian Stoutzker Prize 2023 Six finalists out of a total of 19 participants from the Mozarteum University competed yesterday with an overall artistic concept in the string and wind instrument categories for the coveted The Sir Ian Stoutzker Prize 2023, which is once again endowed with 20,000 euros this year. The prize honours an outstanding student personality who knows how to impress with their musical creativity, poetry and unique charisma. The outstanding winner is 25-year-old cellist Ema Krečič.News -
