The International Summer Academy of the Mozarteum University starts anew and expands with ARCO - Art, Research and Creation Opus and the Summer Academy Baroque (in Siena). The prestigious Herbert von Karajan Prize, worth a total of 50,000 euros, has been awarded for the 6th time this year as part of the Salzburg Easter Festival. The prize winner is, among others, the composer and conductor Oscar Jockel, who was featured in the celebrated production "Westbam meets Wagner".

VR MozART takes the audience on a journey through space and time, using virtual reality glasses to immerse us in the emotional world of experience that W. A. Mozart's music opens up in all of us. In the English reading, the title VR MozART refers to the cultural adaptation that Mozart's work has experienced in European and also worldwide reception.

In 2020, the author Helena Adler's second novel Die Infantin trägt den Scheitel links was published by Jung und Jung. The book landed at number five on the ORF bestseller list in April 2020; she opened the O-Töne literature festival in 2020 with a reading from the book. In August 2020, the novel was longlisted for the German Book Prize. At the end of August 2022, her third book was published: Fretten, which was nominated for the Austrian Book Prize 2022.

As a publicly accessible art ARCHIVE space, the University Archive documents current and historical activities of the Mozarteum University and proactively supports teaching, access to the arts, and research.

Numerous master classes, a contemporary BaroqueLab, concerts and an opera production: The Baroque Summer Academy of the Department of Early Music of the Mozarteum University will take place for the third time in 2023 within the framework of the renowned Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy. A highlight in 2023 is the performance of the baroque opera "Dido & Aeneas" by H. Purcell with contemporary prologue and epilogue "Elissa" by Henry Fourès and Rector Elisabeth Gutjahr. "Elissa" was successfully premiered at the Mozarteum University in June 2023.
