Urban forays with the sketchbook by 10 students of the Department of Fine Arts and Design and the Department of Scenography

MEAOISWIAMIA: Scenography meets Leipzig Book Fair! The Loop "Film Art", curated by Thomas Ballhausen, focused on the lyrical and atmospheric aspects of the encounter between the arts.

The Mozarteum University once again cordially invites its alumni and emeriti to a drink followed by a visit to the opera! As usual, the meeting point is the foyer of the Mozarteum University in an artistic setting amidst the "allegria" exhibition by Gertrud Fischbacher and Marius Schebella. The opera programme includes a world premiere: "Elissa / Dido & Aeneas". Rector Elisabeth Gutjahr will warmly welcome you and provide insights into the production.

The 3sat Prize of 10,000 euros at the 60th Berlin Theatertreffen goes to stage designer Mirjam Stängl for her stage in the production "Zwiegespräch" directed by Rieke Süßkow at the Burgtheater in Vienna.

For the 9th time, the internal violin competition Concorso Ruggiero Ricci took place from May 17 to 19, offering students the opportunity to gain competition experience in a familiar atmosphere.

"Idyll" is the title of a short film by Fanny Rösch, a student at the Munich University of Film and Television, made in 2022 as part of Spot On MozART in co-production with the Mozarteum University. On 15 March 2023, the first event in a series of events organised by Salzburg's universities in cooperation with the Wissenstransferzentrum West (Knowledge Transfer Centre West) was dedicated to a hot topic: the impact of artificial intelligence on our everyday lives. The first winners of the 15th International Mozart Competition have been announced. The 1st prize in the string quartet category and the traditional special prize of the Mozarteum Foundation for the best interpretation of a string quartet by W. A. Mozart go to the Arete Quartet, the 2nd prize to the Affinity Quartet and the 3rd prize to the Eden Quartet.

Six finalists competed for the coveted prizes in the vocal category at the 15th International Mozart Competition on February 16, 2023 in the Solitär of the Mozarteum University. The 1st prize goes to Santiago Valentín Sánchez Barbadora, the 2nd prize to Chelsea Marilyn Zurflüh, and the 3rd prize to Dániel Foki.

To kick off the 2022/23 summer semester, the Mozarteum University is launching a new corporate design. The centerpiece is a "monumental" typography and a university website that is intended to inspire as well as inform as a digital communication port. The development process was accompanied by the two renowned digital agencies Dept (concept) and Pixelart (development).

How can (body) boundaries be overcome and what has one's own body not yet learned? Ten students of the teacher training programme "Design: Technology.Textiles" are exploring these questions in an exhibition at the Bauhaus Museum Dessau.
