The university's internal Research Competition Mozarteum (RCM) took place for the 6th time in 2024 and has established itself as a fixed part of the university's annual schedule. On December 3, the best submissions were honored at the Award Ceremony with the involvement of the international RCM jury.News -

This year's award for particularly successful artistic-scientific research proposals goes to Heike Henning for her collaborative project proposal "Rethinking and Innovating Choral Musicking in the Digital Space", which is currently being prepared for submission to the Austrian Science Fund FWF in cooperation with the University of Liechtenstein and the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.News -

Open Day in the Art ARCHIVE Room Every year around 9 June, the Art ARCHIVE Room presents archive treasures from its holdings and collections on varying themes. Visitors can admire the original documents, manuscripts, photos and other materials. Depending on the theme, there will also be lectures and musical contributions. 9 June is International Archives Day, which numerous institutions use to display their valuable archival materials. Mozarteum (Hi)stories - The Past in Dialogue The Platform on Politics of the Past at the Mozarteum University Salzburg deals with cultures of remembrance from the 1920s to the 1990s. The critical reflection on the university's political past, especially during the periods of Austrofascism, National Socialism and the post-war era, plays just as important a role as art projects against forgetting and for greater awareness. Researchers are currently conducing a citizen research project that invites the local community to share relevant documents and contemporary accounts.News
