The German soprano Juliane Banse, who grew up in Zurich, first studied with Paul Steiner and later worked with Ruth Rohner at the Zurich Opera House before completing her training in Munich with Brigitte Fassbaender and Daphne Evangelatos. Since then, she has performed on the world’s leading opera and concert stages, collaborating primarily with distinguished conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, Bernard Haitink, Franz Welser-Möst, Marin Alsop, Zubin Mehta, and Manfred Honeck. Chamber music and Lied recitals also play a central role in her artistic work.

In recent years, her desire to pass on her knowledge, expertise, and experience to the younger generation has led her to place increasing emphasis on teaching.
