Kyung Hwa Kang

Senior Artist in Opera Stagecraft⋅Opera Studies Department

Kyung Hwa Kang studied voice and vocal pedagogy at Yeungnam University and completed advanced studies in Voice and Lied at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. During her studies, she gained formative experience as an assistant director at the Salzburg State Theatre and the Tyrolean State Theatre, working with directors including Joachim Herz, Harry Kupfer and Robert H. Pflanzl. Since 1999, she has served as University Assistant in the opera programme at the Mozarteum University, where she teaches basic opera stagecraft in the Department of Voice. Since 2017, she has also been responsible for administrative coordination in the Artistic Management Office of the Opera Studies Department.

Seit 1999 ist Kyung Hwa Kang Universitätsassistentin am Department für Oper und Musiktheater der Universität Mozarteum tätig und unterrichtete im Department für Gesang das Lehrveranstaltungsfach Musikdramatische Grundausbildung. Seit 2017 ist sie als Mitglied des künstlerischen Betriebsbüros mit organisatorischen Aufgaben betraut.
