Agnieszka Lis began her vocal studies at the Fryderyk Chopin Conservatory in Warsaw and at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. She continued her training in Lied and Oratorio at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and was awarded the Agnes Jacobi Prize of the International Mozarteum Foundation for an outstanding female voice in 2001. Since 2007, she has been a member of the Ensemble Sound of Austria, and in 2011 she became study and production coordinator at the Opera Studies Department at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
