Pavle Krstic is a pianist based in Austria, praised for his individuality, sensitivity and expressive playing. He performs internationally as a soloist and chamber musician and, since 2022, has been Senior Lecturer at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
Pavle Krstic has given numerous recitals since his debut at the age of twelve and has performed at major venues and festivals in more than twenty countries. At seventeen, he appeared at the Kolarac Concert Hall in Belgrade, performing both Chopin piano concertos. He has released two CD recordings, the first with ArtLink (2017) and the second with OnClassical (2022).
He has received numerous scholarships and awards from the Mozarteum University Salzburg as well as from international music festivals and academies, including the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein, where he participated in masterclasses with distinguished pianists and professors. Among his distinctions are the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education's Würdigungspreis (2021) and the ArtLink Most Promising Young Music Artist award (2016).
He has also won more than forty prizes at international piano competitions, including the Concours international de piano Lagry-sur-Marne, the Neuhaus Festival, the Chopin Golden Ring, the Horowitz Piano Competition (Kyiv), the International Piano Competition for Young Musicians (Enschede), the Concours International Piano Campus (Pontoise) and the International Chopin Piano Competition (Hartford), among others.
Krstic studied at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where he completed his bachelor's, master's and postgraduate studies in the class of Pavel Giliov. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in musicology under the supervision of Barbara Dobretsberger.
Alongside his performance career, he is active in arrangements and orchestrations and pursues an analytical approach to the interpretation of piano music. Since the winter semester 2022/23 he has been Senior Lecturer at the Department of Musicology at the Mozarteum University Salzburg.
