Lisa Hainzl has been teaching basic German courses (levels A1 and A2) at the Mozarteum University Salzburg since 2012 and taught courses as part of the International Summer Academy until 2016. She also works at the University of Salzburg in the Department of German Studies, where she is involved in teacher training and teaches German as a Foreign Language.
As a co-opted board member of the Austrian Association for German as a Foreign Language, she is actively involved in networking and professional development for German teachers in Salzburg. She also worked in an advisory capacity for Huber Verlag on the development of the German textbook Momente, which is used in her courses.
Lisa Hainzl was born in Hallein in 1987 and studied linguistics and German at the University of Salzburg, with a focus on language acquisition and German as a Foreign Language. In 2012, she completed her studies with a master’s thesis entitled “The Acquisition of German Vowels by Children with Turkish as Their First Language” and was awarded the Award of Appreciation 2012 by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research.
During and after her studies, she taught at various private institutes and universities (University of Portland/Salzburg, Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, University College of Teacher Education Salzburg, and the Language Centre of the University of Salzburg) and also worked as an examiner for the Austrian German Language Diploma (ÖSD).
