Lucy Revers-Chin studied with Robert Scholz and later with Kurt Neumüller at the Mozarteum University, where she earned her artistic and pedagogical diploma and was awarded the Bernhard Paumgartner Medal. She went on to complete a master’s degree at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, in the class of Leon Fleisher. Her many accolades include the gold medal at the Concorso Pianistico Internazionale Rina Sala Gallo in Monza, Italy; first prize at the Kurt Leimer Competition in Salzburg; and first prize at the International Piano Recording Competition in Texas, USA. Concert invitations have taken her throughout Europe as well as to the USA and Asia.

Her university teaching career began in the 1980s; from 1980 to 1984 she held a professorship in piano at the State Conservatory of Vorarlberg in Feldkirch, and she has been teaching at the Mozarteum University since 1982, initially (until 1993) as assistant to Peter Lang, head of department at the time. She began teaching her own preparatory class for gifted young pianists in 1993, and, following the completion of her artistic habilitation in piano at the Mozarteum University, was appointed associate professor in 2008.
