Peter Schreiner studied history at the University of Vienna and photography at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts in Kiel. His artistic research explores the relationship between event and interpretation, historiography and poetry. Working with photography, video and text, he investigates how these traditionally reproductive media are becoming increasingly detached from the notion of a fixed, objectively verifiable reality. Schreiner is a member of Galerie Fotohof.
