Christel Kiesel De Miranda

Christel Kiesel is a sculptor and first studied industrial design, ceramics/glass and fashion design at the Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule in Halle an der Saale, then plastic concepts/ceramics at the Kunstuniversität Linz. Since 2020 she has been running a studio and exhibition space in Linz together with Stefan Brandmayr and Felix Pöchhacker "EFES 42" Verein für Skulptur. The interest in dealing with transformation processes in de-industrialized landscapes, in particular the post-excavation landscape of the domestic Lausitz lignite mining area, runs through her work. Since 2021 she has been working as a university assistant at the Universität Mozarteum.
