Beate Seckauer

Beate Seckauer has been freelancing since 2000, several exhibition participations and a solo exhibition in 2017 at the Kulturquartier Linz, Zylow Group and numerous fair participations followed. A focus of her work in recent years is the collaboration with designers and architects to develop a wide variety of products in porcelain and ceramics. She has been a lecturer for ceramics at the Mozarteum University since 2021 .
Beate Seckauer (*1964 in Steyr) completed the master class for ceramics at the University for Artistic and Industrial Design (today Linz Art University). 1990-2002 she managed the production of the 'Vienna Collection' in Schrems, Lower Austria. There she developed numerous designs for Vienna Collection Porzellanmanufaktur, and worked on large ceramic projects, such as the design of facades, soundproof walls, children's playgrounds, etc. In 1992 she was a founding member of the I.DE.A Designcenter GmbH in Schrems. In addition to managing production, workshops with children and young people took place there, as well as numerous exhibitions. In 2002 she founded a porcelain factory and ceramics studio in Neuzeug, in 2009 Neuzeughammer Keramik GmbH, and in 2017 NEU/ZEUG Design OG with the designers from Lucy.D , Karin Santorso and Barbara Ambrosz. The bandwidth of their work ranges from design in public space (Ortsplatz Sierninghofen/Neuzeug) to facade designs (e.g. Moden Landa, Linz Landstrasse, cooperation with Michael Schröckenfuchs), development of product series ('Xiles - exciting tiles), lamps made of porcelain and bone china, Reconstruction of historical tiles (Barraum Cabaret Fledermaus) up to the development of tableware series
