Noriko Shima studied piano performance with Emiko Harimoto at the Tokyo College of Music and with Noel Flores at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She is a prizewinner of the PTNA Piano Competition in Japan and has performed with various chamber music partners in Japan, Austria, Germany, Hungary and Italy. Working with Hans Gansch and Mathias Höfs, she recorded the CD "Gansch meets Höfs". She has worked as a collaborative pianist at the Mozarteum University since 1999.
