Andrzej Pawel Kucharski

Teacher of Wind Band ConductingWind, Brass & Percussion Department

Andrzej Kucharski is a member of the Bläserphilharmonie Mozarteum Salzburg and the Sinfonietta da Camera Salzburg. His performances have taken him not only throughout Austria but also to France, Germany, Hungary, Poland and Switzerland. He has worked at the Brass.Werkstatt Salzburg since 2015 and has been a principal study teacher on the Mozarteum’s Continuing-Education Programme in Wind Band Conducting since 2019.

Andrzej Kucharski (b. 1985 in Kedzierzyn-Kozle) completed his preliminary studies in piano and clarinet at the State Music School in Opole in 2005. He went on to study the clarinet for a year at the Music Academy in Poznań, before continuing his studies with Albert Osterhammer at the Mozarteum University, completing master’s degrees in pedagogy (2013) and performance (2017). Following studies in wind band conducting with Albert Schwarzmann and Martin Fuchsberger, he graduated with a master’s degree in 2015.

He is an experienced teacher of clarinet, having worked at the music schools in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn (2011-2015) and Prien am Chiemsee (2012-2017). From 2012 to 2019 he was musical director of the Trachtenmusikkapelle Zell am Moos (Upper Austria); he is currently the conductor of the Marktmusikkapelle Grödig (since 2013) and artistic director of the Eisenbahner-Musikverein Salzburg (since 2016).
