Five women. Five lives. Five collections of stories. ‘What actually made you become activists?’ It would be impossible to answer this question in a single sentence.
But perhaps it could be answered in five?
Gerti, Gerlinde, Ulrike, Doris and Traude are GRANDMOTHERS AGAINST THE RIGHT. What experiences, encounters and events led them to take to the streets in their old age and protest for democracy? Various images and narratives explore the question of why these women refuse to remain silent.
