Research, teaching, art historical and curatorial projects: Against the background of art history and philosophy, Hildegard Fraueneder has been working since the end of the 1980s in a wide variety of formats on questions in the field of tension between art (history) and the social present. For her special achievements and commitment, she was awarded the Salzburg Prize of the Kulturfonds on November 25.
As a member of several curriculum commissions, Hildegard Fraueneder plays a major role in shaping the development of new curricula at the University Mozarteum Salzburg and thus the education of the next generation of art scholars. "Hildegard Fraueneder plays an outstanding role in Salzburg's art scene, her versatility, her enthusiasm and her profound knowledge have an impact in many areas in Salzburg and far beyond. I am fascinated by the fact that she combines her precise art historical research with her comprehensive commitment to contemporary art and artists and that she passes on her broad knowledge to the next generations ", says Hildegund Amanshauser, member of the Board of Trustees.
