In an interdisciplinary team, the PR & Marketing department develops and implements global communication strategies in cooperation with agencies and departments, uses numerous (digital) channels and produces content to give visibility to projects, events and much more. The department is also the point of contact for press enquiries.

    Immersive art & digital storytelling: New master's programme at the Mozarteum University Salzburg 

    Applications for the October 2026 intake will be accepted starting in February. The Mozarteum University Salzburg is expanding its range of courses to include the international Master's programme in Immersive Arts & Digital Narratives. The English-language, artistically and scientifically oriented programme will start in 2026 and is aimed at artists and practitioners from all artistic and scientific disciplines who wish to explore narrative forms, artistic practice and new technologies.

    Austrian Art Alumni Award 2026 

    In order to ensure that Austria maintains its position in the world of art and culture, selected outstanding graduates of arts universities are supported in the early stages of their artistic careers. To this end, the public arts universities, in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research, have launched the A4 – Austrian Art Alumni Award programme: each year, six graduates of Austrian arts universities are awarded a grant in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.

    International young talent at the Mozart Competition 

    When Salzburg resounds with the spirit of genius loci in February, the Mozarteum University once again invites you to the International Mozart Competition. Now in its 70th year, this renowned competition brings together outstanding young musicians from all over the world and this year, 24 violinists from 17 countries and 25 pianists from 15 countries will compete at the highest international level.
