Four directing projects on the theme of realism
News … Home News Four directing projects on the theme of realism Directing projects on the theme of realism 04.03.2022 Drama production © Fankofilm Since the establishment of theater as a bourgeois art form in the 19th century, numerous authors and theater makers have formulated the demand to penetrate social reality with the means of art and to bring it to view in its contradictions. In the winter semester 2021/22, directing students will work with classical and contemporary drama texts, which they will set in relation to the social and political reality of our present. The four productions were created in collaboration with students of the Department of Acting, Directing & Applied Theatre - Thomas Bernhard Institute and the  Department of Scenography. The four theater texts negotiate co-conflicts arising from the collision of the individual striving for freedom, happiness, and self-realization with the norms and limitations of the historical situation and the existing social order. The central themes of the works include the social inequality of gender relations, the discomfort generated by sexuality and its social standardization, the class differences that have not been overcome despite universal claims to equality, and the global crises generated by the capitalist way of life. © Fankofilm Casimir and Caroline or Youth without … by Ödön von Horváth Directed by Marion Hélène Weber  Stage and Costume Design: Carla Schwering With: Annalisa Hohl, Juliette Larat, Lukas Vogelsang, Benjamin Viziotis, Rachid Zinaladin " My generation is known to be very suspicious and imagines that it has no illusions . On the royal road
No News. With Elfriede Jelinek's "Am Königsweg", the Thomas Bernhard Institute dealt with right-wing populism, the disastrous political practice of Donald Trump and the helplessness of a society that cannot find an answer to the explosive spread of contempt for democracy and violence. The production was a cooperation with Freeszfe Budapest, in German, Hungarian and English. Project management: Volker Lösch, Christoph Lepschy With acting & directing students from Budapest and Salzburg Directors: Antal Bálint, Bona Dyssou, Volker Lösch, Ádám Nyári, Henry Schlage  Assistant directors: Anna Szepes, Laura Trauner Dramaturgy: Christoph Lepschy Costumes: Amrei Monika Fürst, Sophia Marlen Esterer, Christina Winkler About the production Jelinek's textual surfaces oscillated between tragedy and the grotesque, pathos and vulgarity, and painted a picture of a political-financial-capitalist complex that is morally at its end, but nevertheless nevertheless comes to power with force and endangers fundamental democratic values. The participating students from Austria and Hungary complemented the play with personal texts and gave insight into different experiences and observations related to the dynamic developments of right-wing populism in Europe and the current political situation in Austria and Hungary. • Sources of music making. The reciprocal relationship between music and education
Sources of music making. The reciprocal relationship between music and education
No publication found. What are the sources of musical ability? Musical learning paths are rarely clear and goal-oriented. There are not only main ways of learning, but also byways, wrong turns, one-way streets and dead ends - or to use the metaphor of the source: there are countless springs, tributaries, forks, fords, lakes and estuaries. This anthology, conceived as a Festschrift for Reinhart von Gutzeit, explores the question of how musicians (amateurs and professionals) acquire their artistic skills.
