Salzburg Cultural Fund Prize awarded to Yvonne Wasserloos Yvonne Wasserloos, university professor of musicology, has been awarded the International Grand Prize for Science & Research (worth €12,000) by the Cultural Fund of the City of Salzburg for her outstanding achievements as a researcher, including her work on ‘Music and Power – Dimension and Context’ and her research on the social, political and cultural significance of music – especially in connection with democracy and the culture of remembrance. Nikita Buldyrski receives the Alfred Kerr Actor Award 2024 Nikita Buldyrski, actor and graduate of the Thomas Bernhard Institute, is honoured with the prestigious Alfred Kerr Actor Award. The prize is awarded annually for an outstanding performance by a young actor in one of the ten productions at the Berlin Theatre Meeting. International Summer Academy selects 12 award winners Last Saturday, after four intensive weeks under the artistic direction of Hannfried Lucke, the International Summer Academy 2024 came to a very successful end with 55 masterclasses, 13 additional courses and 66 concerts. 550 participants from 53 nations (average age 21) were guests in Salzburg. Twelve up-and-coming artists were honoured and each received 1,000 euros in prize money donated by the City of Salzburg's Cultural Fund.News -

A new home - Ziyu He Ziyu He was one of the youngest soloists in the Vienna Philharmonic when he made his debut at the Musikverein under Adam Fischer in 2017 at the age of just 18. The year before, he won both the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg and the Yehudi Menuhin Competition, and in 2014 he was the Eurovision Young Musician of the Year.
