In this interview, they give us an insight into their everyday life as students and let us in on the rehearsal process for the opera ‘Medusa / Giuditta’.

The Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen (AEC) is a trans-national organisation with the aim of networking music colleges across Europe and jointly maintaining high international standards of education. Between 5 and 8 November 2025, the AEC will hold a congress at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, which will focus on topics such as leadership, resilience, professional skills and health care within university-level music education.

The film LOST IN DIMENSIONS by pianist Róza Radnóti makes an attempt to find visually expressible events in music, aiming to give the audience an intense and complex experience by interpreting the second movement of the Piano Sonata in C major (KV 545) in an abstract, non-narrative way.

Sarah Nemtsov, renowned composer and university professor of composition at the Mozarteum University, will receive the Heidelberger Künstlerinnenpreis 2025 for her outstanding contributions to contemporary music. The prize, which has been endowed with 10,000 euros since 2025, is one of the most important cultural prizes in Germany and is the only prize in the world to be awarded exclusively to female composers.

On February 3, 2021, the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and the Mozarteum University in Salzburg launched a unique program: a series of master classes to deepen the study of Baroque music, beginning in the summer of 2021.

"What qualities must a person possess in order to dominate both dramaturgically and vocally in an opera?" and "What must a man of mature age look like who is in close relationships with a crazy old lady, a young girl and a doctor at the same time?"
